Karen Broadway-Wilson is a graduate of Oral Roberts University with a BS in Communications Arts Media; and she is the Founder of BroadWil Films and Bridges Drama Productions. As a Writer/Director/Producer/Actress, it is her desire to join with others of like vision and make an impact on the entertainment industry by utilizing every gift that God has blessed her with. Her mission is to set the stage for the light to shine through a place that some have considered to be a very dark place and impossible to reach; but she stands on the words “Mission Possible”.
Karen has performed in, written and directed several theatrical productions for over 20yrs. One of her most memorable plays that she wrote was featured at the Iconic Apollo Theater, entitled “Damaged but yet Destined”. Tony Award Winner Melba Moore and Grammy Award Winner Twinkie Clark also graced the stage for this production. In addition, Karen also wrote and produced a play featured at Carolines On Broadway, entitled “Mama’s Best.”, which featured a song written and performed by Carol Maraj, talented mother of Nicki Minaj. Karen has also traveled extensively performing and facilitating theatrical workshops. Her travels include St. Martin, Costa Rica, West Africa, Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad and throughout the states.In 2014-, Karen was selected by Hollywood Producer Stu Weiss (former creator executive Producer of Dish Nation) to be a part of a reality show pitch that was looking for creative, dynamic spiritual speakers in the USA. Karen competed in several different areas and won the competition. The show was being pitched to different TV NetworksAt the present time, Karen is working on her first feature film entitled “Tried by Fire”, A film that depicts the opposition and conflicts that come with pursuing your purpose. Karen ran with this story after her sister and Assistant Director, Judith Gaffney pitched her an idea. “Tried by Fire “, depicts relevant issues that our families, communities, and our world face today. Karen’s goal is to bring a powerful message to the screen that will impact, influence, and positively affect this generation and the generations to come.
