Carol Overton

Carol A. Overton, aka #Queen2CHopeJD is an ordained Apostle-Pastor. She strongly believes “Inspiration Whispers Hope.” She is known as Queen2CHopeJD” - Advocate for Justice and Inspirational Dance, Choreographer, Speaker, Preacher, #Empowerment Thru the Arts and Vendor.

Through a Collaboration of Inspirational Dance Artists from the DMV, Carol brings #MessageInTheArts to the streets, conferences, congregations and correctional facilities and abroad. Former Dancer of Alvin Ailey, Dance Theater of Harlem and Gloria Jackson Dance School.

Carol is a Native New Yorker who now resides in Maryland.

Legal Professional

Passionate Senior Lead Paralegal Career. Retired from the Federal Government after 35 years. Extensive criminal pre- trial, electronic-trial and post-trial work with several United States Attorneys’ Offices, U.S. Federal District Courts, Bankruptcy Courts and Chief Counsel, IRS and other government agencies. Traveled as part of the prosecution team state to state to prepare and present in court criminal trials electronically.

Boards

Board Member of the National Association of Women Judges, Maryland –Women Moving Forward program since 2003. During her years of service she has gained an appreciation and understanding of empowering women for their transition through life circumstances. She continues to advocate for each resident\client to receive the best support and skills in development training possible.

Volunteer

Programs Facilitator in Correctional Facilities – Empowerment thru the Arts, therapeutic sessions and Parenting Classes.
